Sette Valentyne (11 Marpenoth 1473 DR) is a tiefling rogue who refounded the Church of Lathander in Omelon and is a founding member of the Dawn Guard.
Early Life
Sette was born to Rieta and Liam Valentyne in Heapool on 11 Marpenoth 1473 DR. Her mother was lost at sea while Sette was very young, leaving her father and grandmother to raise her.
Sette spent much of her childhood in the sprawling underground complex that served as the organization's headquarters, learning many skills from her grandmother: how to be a snakeoil salesperson; how to lie, flirt, and cheat; how to keep her head about herself in dangerous situations; and how to dress a squirrel or a rat for a quick dinner. She learned lock-picking from Liam at an early age, as a game to play at his feet while he did the books. On the streets of Heapool, she learned how to fight, insult, and boast.
Being a non-human, many of the members of the family scorned her presence. Her uncle, Banito Valentyne, believed her to be an unsuitable heir to the organization.
